However, the process of Attestation as defined by Ministry of External Effairs (MEA), New Delhi, India where Personal Certificates had to be attested by the State Home Department is not mandatorily.

Step 1:- Personal Certificates will be sent for Notary & SUB Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation.

Step 2:- Upon received from the Notary & SUB Divisional Magistrate (SDM) attestation. Original Personal Certificates will be sent to Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi for further Attestation.

Step 3:- After attestation from Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), New Delhi. Personal Certificate will be sent to Embassy / Consulate for further attestation / legalization.
